Ikebana

Ikebana Flower Arrangement Contest- Friday,16th January 2015 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

A. Rules for Registration:

1. Registration for Ikebana Contest either by submission of the form at AMA or Online registration at www.JapanCentreAtAma.com
2. Last date of registration is January 12, 2015, Monday by 6.00 pm.

B. Rules for Participation:

1. The contestants shall be in the age group of 16 and above.
2. The contestants will have to report at AMA by 1.30 pm on Friday January 16, 2015.
3. The contestants will have to bring their own vases, pin holders, scissors and other tools.
4. Table space, small buckets and water will be provided by AMA at the venue.
5. Arrangements should be Ikebana style and not any other flower arrangement.
6. The Ikebana contest will start sharp at 02.00 pm.
7. The contestants will be given 90 minutes to complete their Arrangement.
8. The contestants shall prepare only one arrangement during the above time period.

C. Other Information:

1. Results of the Ikebana Contest will be declared during the inaugural function of Japan Festival between 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
2. Prize distribution will be held during the inaugural function as above.
3. Star selected Ikebana Arrangements at the contest shall be displayed at the Ikebana Exhibition from the eve ofFriday January 16, 2015, toSunday January 18, 2015, during the Japan Festival at AMA.
4. The vases used for display in the exhibition shall be returned after the exhibition is over.
5. Names of such contestants shall also be displayed along with the exhibit.
6. Each contestant will be given a certificate of participation.
7. Judges decision will be final and shall not be questioned.
